Submission

1. TAs can select several ways to submit the assignment, this includes the following.

   • No Submission
   • Online
   • On Paper

   • External Tool

     

2. Please be careful with the option No Submission. Only select this when TAs are sure it is true for the assignment. Otherwise students do not need to submit anything for this assignment.

3. The Online option enables students to upload a file for submitting their assignment. Canvas provides the function to restrict the upload file types. For TAs of academic writing courses, you may allow students to upload pdf files only by typing pdf in the Restrict Upload File Types under File Uploads. If TAs want to allow multiple file types, use comma , to separate the file types.

   

4. The On Paper option is the commonly used one. It is applicable for most types of homework assignment.

5. The External Tool enables students to hand in their assignment via an external tool such as Turnitin. If the instructor requires to use this option, TAs should follow his or her instruction.
